CoreCentric Celebrates Global ReManufacturing Day
CAROL STREAM, IL, April 12, 2018 – CoreCentric Solutions hosted key vendors and celebrated Global ReManufacturing Day with an employee event on April 12th, 2018. This was one of over 100 events being held in 27 States within the US, 15 countries and 5 continents to celebrate remanufacturing, an important part of the emerging circular economy.
With over 200 employees in attendance, Tom Healy, CoreCentric’s CEO, emphasized the importance of the work that the company does to extend the life of consumer goods through its commitment to excellence in reverse logistics and remanufacturing. CoreCentric is a leading remanufacturer for a wide variety of appliance and automotive service parts. In addition, the company has partnered with leading consumer good brands to help them manage their consumer returns. In its 23 years of life, CoreCentric Solutions has developed infrastructure and expertise to manage returns and remanufacturing for products like ceiling fans, small kitchen appliances, vacuum cleaners, lawn & garden equipment and power tools.
“Last year alone, we diverted almost two million parts and products from the landfill. Through robust remanufacturing processes, we were able to recirculate goods back into the consumers’ hands.” Mr. Healy commented. “Since 2010 we have remanufactured approximately 500,000 ice-makers alone! Just this one activity has equated to more than 600 tons of waste that we have prevented, while providing the end consumer with a high-quality ice-maker for their refrigerator”, he went on to say.
CoreCentric is part of a network of over 3,000 domestic remanufacturing companies that adds over $45B of economic value to the U.S. economy each year and employs over 180,000 US workers.
